Carpentry Apprentice

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter Apprentice to join our team at Six Flags Over Texas. As a Carpenter Apprentice, you will assist in the construction, demolition, repair, and remodeling of park facilities and attractions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in general carpentry tasks, including construction, demolition, repair, and remodeling of park facilities and attractions.
• Work with other crew members in the field to complete tasks.
• Ride Inspection: Assist in climbing ride structures, walking on steep catwalks, and working at heights up to 150 feet above the ground.
• People Skills: Interact positively with employees and guests, promoting a "Service" atmosphere.
• Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment for guests and staff.
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old with a High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of commercial or industrial carpentry experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word, for planning, communications, troubleshooting, and tracking.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time outdoors in extreme heat/cold and sun.
• Able to carry tools and lift at least 50lbs and be comfortable working at heights up to 150ft.
• Must be able to work a rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as needed.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.

Other Functions

All other duties assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole. Management reserves the right to add or remove duties when circumstances dictate.
