Job Title: Registered Technologist, Medical Imaging

North York General Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Technologist, Medical Imaging to join our team. As a key member of our Medical Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing imaging examinations in mammography and bone density, ensuring that all procedures meet the established standards of the department and the CMRITO.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform all breast imaging and bone density examinations as required, and all other duties as requested by supervisory personnel
  • Implement proper procedures (re: health, safety, and radiation protection) for patients, employees, and visitors
  • Assume operational responsibility when on shift
  • Assist the Radiologist when required
  • Follow proper procedures for care of equipment, imaging rooms and supplies
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures of the Department of Medical Imaging at North York General Hospital
Qualifications:
  • Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
  • Minimum 2 years of current experience as a Breast Imaging Technologist
  • Completion of the following CAMRT courses: Breast Imaging 1, Breast Imaging 2, Imaging Breast Pathology and Bring Your Position Upfront: Breast Positioning Virtual Lecture
  • Completed certificate (or commitment to complete) in Breast Imaging-Diagnostic
  • Experience in Bone Mineral Density is preferred
  • Current CBMD certification with the OAR is an asset
  • Basic computer skills i.e. Microsoft office, Excel, etc
  • BCLS certification an asset
  • Post-graduate experience in a hospital setting preferred
  • Membership with CAMRT is recommended
  • Bilingualism in English/French is an asset

As a Registered Technologist, Medical Imaging at North York General Hospital, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of healthcare providers, staff, and volunteers in one of Canada's leading hospitals. This is a Part-Time Casual Position, 8 hours, day shifts, including weekends and On an as needed basis in Breast Imaging and Bone Density/Medical Imaging. We offer a highly competitive total compensation package which includes pay in lieu of benefits, vacation pay and the opportunity to join the Hospital Pension Plan.
