Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Assess and manage patients with comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic skills, ensuring effective discharge planning in collaboration with case management.
- Quality Improvement: Engage in initiatives aimed at enhancing cost efficiency and the quality of care delivered to patients.
- Collaboration: Accept referrals from fellow physicians and serve as the admitting, attending, or consulting physician for hospitalized patients as necessary.
- Academic Involvement: Participate in educational programs and research activities as required.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation that meets insurance requirements and address any denials promptly.
- Consultation: Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations for specialty care, which may include being on call.
Licensure: Must possess a valid Physician MD/DO credential from the appropriate regulatory body prior to the start date. Verification by the local Credentialing Office is required.
Preferred Credentials: Advanced Life Support certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is preferred.
Education: A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree is required.
