Job Summary:

As a member of our Bodily Injury (BI) unit, you will provide legal representation to Progressive insureds and/or the company before courts and arbitration panels in all aspects of litigation. This role involves handling cases from beginning to end, preparing legal pleadings, motions, statements, trial briefs, and negotiating settlements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present legal arguments in court and arbitration panels
  • Conduct thorough analysis of written discovery, depositions, medical records, and assess the value of claims to determine risk exposure
  • Work closely with clients and claims partners to prepare timely reports on litigation and leverage appropriate defenses to achieve positive outcomes
  • Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree or Master of Laws (LLM) and a minimum of 2 years general/auto litigation experience
  • Admitted to practice law in the state of Florida
