Job Title: Hy-Vee Cook

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our Hy-Vee team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of foods for our customers. This includes cooking meats, vegetables, and soups, as well as preparing sauces and other ingredients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of foods, including meats, vegetables, and soups
• Prepare sauces and other ingredients as needed
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and cooking equipment
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Provide excellent customer service and work well with others

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous cooking experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work well with others

Working Conditions:

This position is continually exposed to noise and temperature extremes and frequently exposed to cleaning chemicals/solvents. This is a fast-paced work environment with a significant amount of pressure to meet deadlines.

Equipment Used:

This position uses a variety of equipment, including woks, cooking spoons, buckets, knives, and cutting boards.
