Key Responsibilities

Core Duties of the Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant:

  • Assist in assessing clients' daily living skills and capabilities to identify strengths and limitations
  • Support patients through all stages of physical therapy treatments, including exercise guidance, manual therapy, daily living activities, and Isokinetic programs
  • Monitor patients during treatments and communicate observations to the Physical Therapist
  • Collaborate with staff and healthcare team members to share, discuss, and evaluate patient information for the planning, adjustment, and coordination of treatment plans
Qualifications

Required Experience and Skills for the Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant Role:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
  • Valid and unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant License
