Position Overview

ROLE SUMMARY

The individual in this role is accountable for executing a variety of banking transactions, which include managing deposits, withdrawals, and providing exceptional customer support while advocating for the bank's offerings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute Teller Operations:
    • Process deposits, withdrawals, and loan repayments.
    • Cash checks and other negotiable instruments.
    • Facilitate transfers between accounts.
    • Issue traveler's checks, official checks, and money orders.
    • Ensure daily cash balancing and address discrepancies swiftly.
    • Promote Bank products to clientele.
    • Adhere to Teller protocols and compliance standards.
  • Build Professional Client Relationships:
    • Address client inquiries and requests in a timely manner.
    • Safeguard client confidentiality and uphold the Bank's integrity.
  • Collaborate with Team Members and Management:
    • Support team members as necessary.
    • Keep management informed of relevant activities.
    • Accurately complete reports and documentation.
    • Participate in meetings and training sessions.
  • Undertake Additional Duties as Assigned:
    • Manage night drop functions and clerical responsibilities.
    • Ensure a clean and secure work environment.
    • Cross-sell Bank products effectively.

MEASUREMENT OF SUCCESS

  • Accurate and efficient execution of Teller responsibilities.
  • Timely resolution of cash discrepancies.
  • Maintain positive client relations and address inquiries courteously.
  • Foster strong working relationships with colleagues and management.
  • Assist other staff members as needed and keep supervisors updated on activities.
  • Develop new client relationships and promote Bank products.
  • Uphold the Bank's professional image.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Knowledge: Familiarity with banking operations is preferred.

Experience Required: Minimum of one year in a related role with cash handling experience required.

Prior experience as a Teller is preferred.

Skills/Abilities: Strong communication, mathematical, and typing skills.

Professional demeanor and capability to operate business equipment.

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday: 7:15 AM - 6:15 PM (Rotating)
Saturday: 8:45 AM - 1:15 PM
