Your Responsibilities:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will:
- Exhibit a thorough understanding of medications and their administration tailored to the patient’s age and clinical condition.
- Provide patient care that meets the standards for various age groups, including geriatric and rehabilitation patients.
- Assist the Registered Nurse in patient assessments and follow-up evaluations as per established protocols.
- Identify and implement appropriate rehabilitation nursing interventions.
- Conduct timely and precise quality improvement assessments under RN supervision.
- Execute care plans based on patient needs and treatment responses, adjusting the interdisciplinary care plan as necessary.
- Engage professionally with patients and their families, incorporating them into the care planning process.
- Assess and manage pain effectively, educating patients and families on pain management strategies.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should possess:
- A diploma from an accredited practical/vocational nursing program.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse.
- CPR/BCLS certification; ACLS certification is preferred.
- IV certification or the ability to obtain it within six months is highly preferred.
- A minimum of six months of experience in a Medical/Surgical acute care setting is preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities.
