Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform quality control inspections in the fabrication shop, ensuring compliance with production demands and City Certification QSM.
  • Record and maintain inspection records for quality assurance.
  • Communicate effectively with fabrication foremen, project managers, and team members.
  • Plan and coordinate inspections as required.
  • Maintain compliance with QSM throughout the Quality Control process.
  • Establish and build quality control standards and processes as existing and new product lines progress.
  • Lead internal and external quality audits and meet project deadlines.
Requirements
  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) a plus, but not required.
  • Five years fabrication shop welding experience.
  • Structural steel experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret structural steel shop drawings and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of AWS and AISC codes applicable to steel fabrication and erection.
  • Comply with shop safety policies while working in a safety-sensitive position.
  • Must have structural steel fabrication experience.
