Key Responsibilities:- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations, conduct regular safety audits and inspections, develop and implement safety policies and procedures, investigate and report on workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses, and provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety practices.
- Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards, conduct environmental risk assessments and audits, develop and implement environmental policies and procedures, manage waste disposal, recycling, and pollution control programs, and monitor and report on environmental performance and sustainability initiatives.
- Program Development and Implementation: Develop and maintain HSE programs and initiatives, promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness, coordinate emergency response planning and drills, and implement continuous improvement strategies for HSE performance.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date HSE records and documentation, prepare and submit HSE reports to regulatory agencies as required, track and analyze HSE performance metrics.
- Communication and Training: Conduct HSE training sessions for employees, communicate HSE policies, procedures, and updates to staff, and collaborate with other departments to address HSE issues and improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HSE roles, in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Experience in the pet food or food manufacturing industry is a plus.
