We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our inpatient Cardiothoracic Surgery team at Parma Medical Center.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for performing patient assessments, assigning diagnoses, and implementing treatment plans in accordance with care paths, protocols, and standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to provide comprehensive care to patients and families
- Order and perform routine diagnostic procedures
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions
- Contribute to the educational development of staff, patients, family, and self
- Provide education through role modeling and in-services to meet identified learning needs
- Demonstrated competence as a practitioner
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- A variety of technical patient care devices specific to the clinical area
- Computers and selected office equipment
- Nurse Practitioner: Nursing Doctorate or Master of Science in Nursing with emphasis on clinical practice
- Physician Assistant: Completion of a formal Physician Assistant training from an accredited program with NCCPA certification
- Nurse Practitioner: BLS required; ACLS preferred; Current Registered Nurse license to practice in Ohio; Current APRN license to practice in Ohio
- Physician Assistant: BLS required; ACLS preferred; NCCPA-Certified; DEA license
