At Fair Lawn Public School District, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional Assistant to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. This part-time position requires a high level of commitment and passion for supporting students with autism and behavioral disabilities.

About the Role

We are looking for an individual who can provide emotional support, create a safe and inclusive learning environment, and help students develop essential life skills. As a Paraprofessional Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other educational professionals to ensure students receive the best possible education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support students with autism and behavioral disabilities in a classroom setting
  • Assist with lesson planning and implementation
  • Provide one-on-one support to students as needed
  • Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Experience working with students with autism and behavioral disabilities preferred
