Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Direct Associates: Oversee the daily activities of production associates, ensuring that they complete their tasks and follow all quality and safety procedures.
- Enforce Safety Protocols: Develop and maintain safe working practices for all production associates, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
- Train and Develop Associates: Provide guidance and training to production associates in their respective work areas, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Counsel and Discipline Associates: Counsel production associates on job performance and implement disciplinary actions as necessary, ensuring that all associates are held to high standards.
- Conduct Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to production associates, helping them to identify areas for improvement.
- Manage Resources: Plan and manage resources, including staffing, to ensure that all production tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Monitor Quality and Sanitation: Ensure that all products meet high quality standards and that the manufacturing area is clean and well-maintained.
- Education: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively in English, fluency in other languages is preferred.
- Knowledge and Training: Knowledge of and training in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Safe Food Handling, and manufacturing or production techniques.
- HACCP Requirements: Understanding of HACCP requirements and ability to maintain compliance.
