We are seeking a skilled Dietary Cook to join our team at Davidson Health & Rehab Center. As a Dietary Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing nutritious meals for our residents, ensuring their dietary needs are met, and maintaining a clean and safe food service environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, community procedures, and food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Follow established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Dietary Policies and Procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe food service environment, adhering to health, sanitary, and infection control policies.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and supervisors to ensure seamless meal service.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance food safety and sanitation knowledge.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation fundamentals.
  • Ability to communicate in English and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Good interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with supervisors, co-workers, and community staff in the performance of duties.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in long-term care or food service industry.
