We are seeking an experienced Software Application Release Engineer to join our team at Ford Motor Company. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and releasing software applications for vehicle chassis controls.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have a strong background in software development and release management, with experience working on complex software projects. You will be responsible for guiding supplier partners through the Ford Global Product Development System, supporting driver assist features, and delivering software work packages of the software change management process.
You will also be responsible for investigating Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) issues, including Quality Early Detection (QED), and supporting service manual development. Additionally, you will support prototype vehicle builds, ensure compliance to Central SW requirements, and lead SW Technical Design Reviews (TDRs).
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science, or a related degree, or equivalent experience and education. You will also need 2+ years of experience with design or development in chassis or powertrain controls, as well as 1+ year of experience with FMEA and related quality assurance processes.
