Description
This position operates a sewing machine, joining fabric pieces for upholstered furniture. The ideal candidate will have good hand-eye coordination, concentration skills, and attention to detail. They will be responsible for adhering to established sewing standards, adjusting machines to stitch various types of fabrics, and maintaining equipment and work area in an orderly manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a sewing machine to join fabric pieces for upholstered furniture
- Adhere to established sewing standards
- Adjust machines to stitch various types of fabrics
- Maintain equipment and work area in an orderly manner
- Sew Flatwork for different products, top stitch and welt
- Work with different types of sewing machines
- Read and follow instructions to sew specs and notes provided
- Work as part of a team to meet or exceed production goals
Requirements
Education
High school diploma or GED preferred
Experience
Previous sewing experience a plus
