Job Summary:

As a Construction Inspector at Cannon Corp, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our construction projects. This role involves conducting site inspections, monitoring construction progress, and implementing quality assurance procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with contract documents, safety regulations, and environmental documents.
• Monitor and facilitate construction schedule and progress, identifying and addressing any issues or delays.
• Implement quality assurance procedures to ensure the quality of construction materials and workmanship.
• Coordinate sampling and testing of construction materials, and assist with the interpretation of test results.
• Assist the Resident Engineer with coordination of construction staking and surveying, and perform grade checks and construction layout verification.
• Calculate and document construction item quantities, and read and interpret plans, specifications, and other construction documents.
• Monitor and document all construction equipment, personnel, and activities, and enforce compliance with safety regulations and environmental documents.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of progressively responsible experience in construction management and inspection of Public Works or Industrial facilities.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or related field, preferred, but not required.
• Transportation, earthwork, and water and wastewater construction experience is preferred.
• Pipeline inspection experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of industry safety practices and OSHA safety regulations.
• Ability to work in a multi-discipline team environment, and effective time management and multi-tasking skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and CPM Scheduling software is a plus.
• Professional certifications by recognized inspection agencies, such as ICC, ACI, AWS, QSP, Caltrans, are highly preferred.
