Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU Specialist

Cleveland Clinic's Euclid Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. As an ICU Nurse, you will provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, implementing and monitoring patient care plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to adult patients with major medical, cardiac, and surgical diagnoses.
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients' conditions to the healthcare team.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments, and note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs, and educate patients and their families on post-discharge care.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • One year of current acute care RN experience, or military RN experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon or within one year of hire.
Physical Requirements:
  • Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods, and corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours, and exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
Personal Protective Equipment:
  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
