Job Summary

The Motors/Refrigeration Specialist is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electric motors, fans, and refrigeration units in a kitchen equipment setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electric motors, fans, and refrigeration units.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematic prints.
  • Use all necessary tools and testing equipment.
  • Use and recover freon properly.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
Requirements
  • Four years of experience related to the tasks, knowledge, skills, and abilities listed above, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • One year of related technical school training preferred.
  • EPA Refrigeration Certification.
  • Journeyman certificate preferred.
Working Conditions

The Motors/Refrigeration Specialist will work in a kitchen equipment setting, with exposure to electrical and refrigeration systems. The position requires the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.

The Davis School District offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including promotions resulting in a 5% minimum increase.
