Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Anesthesia Technician to join our team. As an Anesthesia Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support to anesthesiologists and other medical staff during surgical procedures. Your primary duties will include:
Key Responsibilities- Performing daily maintenance and inspection of anesthesia equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Assisting anesthesiologists with patient transport, technical support, and patient care during the induction process.
- Setting up and placing invasive monitoring lines and dressing application for patients of all ages.
- Performing blood gas assessment analysis and distributing results to the operating room in a timely manner.
- Decontaminating and cleaning anesthesia equipment and preparing the operating room for the next procedure.
- Maintaining an adequate inventory of anesthesia supplies and equipment, and stocking anesthesia carts to meet PAR levels.
- Communicating with the anesthesiology team and other medical staff to ensure seamless patient care.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Anesthesia Technician Certification (ASATT) is preferred.
- One to two years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
