About the RoleThis is a full-time, [insert estimated salary here], per annum position. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations on pediatric patients, ensuring that they receive accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with medical professionals, patients, and their families. You will also be expected to maintain accurate records, process sonographic images, and evaluate them for technical quality.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine ultrasound examinations on pediatric patients, using proper technical factors and probes based on patient age, physical condition, and suspected pathology.
- Process and evaluate sonographic images, maintaining accurate records and contributing to the growth and development of our team.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and medical staff, promoting a positive experience at Omaha Children's Hospital.
- Maintain current knowledge of developments, trends, and techniques in ultrasound procedures, staying up-to-date on best practices in the field.
- An Associate's Degree from an accredited AMA-approved school of Sonography, or within six months of graduating.
- A.R.D.M.S. or board eligibility, with registration required within one year.
- Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Possession of additional certifications in Abdomen and Vascular may be advantageous but are not essential.
