We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor to join our Department of Psychology at UC San Diego. The successful candidate will have a strong research background in computational mechanisms of behavior, with a focus on developing innovative approaches to understand the mechanistic bases of behavior in human and/or nonhuman animal models.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for establishing a rigorous, high-quality research program that complements existing departmental strengths in Behavioral Neuroscience, Cognitive Psychology, Developmental Psychology, and/or Social Psychology. Additional responsibilities include teaching graduate and undergraduate level courses, mentoring students, and participating in department and university service.
Requirements
Candidates must have a PhD or be ABD in Psychology, Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, Computer Science, or a related field. A minimum of 3 publications or preprints in a relevant field is also required. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body.
