Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care and services to clients, including administering medications, wound care, and other personalized interventions.
- Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and other nurses.
- Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes concerning clinical care, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice following all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the MTF.
- Perform physical exams and health histories, and provide health promotions, counseling, and education to patients and families.
- Administer medications, wound care, and other personalized interventions as prescribed by physicians.
- Direct and supervise care provided by other healthcare professionals, including licensed practical nurses and paraprofessionals.
- Accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel.
- Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergencies.
- Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people to inform the healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization.
- Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate.
- Perform nursing services identified in the TO.
- Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Nursing.
- Current, unencumbered RN license from any state or territory of the United States.
- Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a medical/surgical or pediatric unit.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position that requires working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The Registered Nurse will be required to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and nights, and may be required to work overtime as needed. The Registered Nurse will also be required to participate in ongoing education and training to maintain current certifications and stay up-to-date on the latest medical practices and procedures.
