We anticipate a growing need for licensed Water Treatment Facility Technicians, as well as support roles within our maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Water Treatment Facility Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the safe and compliant operation of the water treatment facility.
- Providing potable water to the campus and associated facilities.
- Monitoring plant machinery, conducting inspections, and managing work orders.
- Performing water quality sampling, testing, and logging results.
- Adjusting treatment processes based on analytical results.
- Training and mentoring new technicians on operational procedures.
- Maintaining inventory of chemicals and supplies, and assisting with facility upkeep.
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, along with a State of Iowa Department of Natural Resources Class I Water Treatment Certification or higher.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to plant operations and chemical handling.
- Experience in water treatment processes and laboratory testing.
- Ability to evaluate equipment conditions and perform minor repairs.
- Proficiency in using computers for reporting and communication.
- Experience supervising contractors and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Possession of a valid U.S. driver's license is required.
- This role may involve working on a rotating shift schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Overtime may be necessary to cover shifts as needed.
- Willingness to travel domestically on occasion.
- Compliance with all ENGIE safety and ethical policies is mandatory.
