We have an exciting opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society's Mary Jane Brown long term care center in Luverne, MN.
About the Role
The LPN or RN will provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in a long term care setting, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. This is a full time position working 8 hour evening shifts, with every other weekend potential to go every 3rd weekend. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a team who is dedicated to providing exceptional care and service to our residents.
Responsibilities
• Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed
• Administer medications or treatments as ordered
• Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary
• Counsel residents, family members, and/or resident advocate on prevention and treatment plans
• Develop a self-care program for residents
Requirements
• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges
• Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
