Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse-Float Pool Part Time Days to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and providing support to our patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Care Coordination: Conduct comprehensive assessments on assigned patients, communicate changes in patient condition promptly, and utilize evidence-based nursing diagnosis to derive realistic outcomes and document them as measurable goals on the plan of care.
  • Patient Education/Ethic and Diversity: Support patient/family/spiritual/cultural needs when assessing patient and family learning level, identify readiness for teaching, and document education record. Utilize teach-back methodology for advancing patient education about medication side effects and new medication education.
  • EBP and Research: Implement nursing interventions consistent with established plan of care based on evidence-based care, maintain and advance professional image and science of nursing through use of best available evidence, and participate in clinical LADDER project or process improvement at the unit/organization level.
  • Healing Safe Environment: Demonstrate safe medication administration through bar coding, promote health, safety, and rights of the patient, convey complete, timely, and accurate information at bedside shift report/hand-off, and protect patients by maintaining a safe environment of excellence.
  • Relationship to Colleagues: Collaborate with all hospital services to responsibly accomplish daily work, maintain an environment of excellence, and identify barriers to effective clinical practice and communicate to nursing leadership and practice operations council.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required, Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN from an accredited program within three years of first day of employment in clinical nurse role.
  • Licensure: Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse licensure required.
  • Certification: Basic Life Support certification required.

Estimated Salary Range

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
