Job Summary:

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team in providing mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention services for adult and/or child members. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with treating physicians, psychiatrists, and allied health professionals to plan and direct each individual member's treatment program.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical treatment programs for members with acute or chronic mental illness.
  • Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups, instructing and counseling patients and their families regarding treatment adherence.
  • Conduct psychological assessments, including test administration, interpretation, and recommendations, and prepare intake summaries, treatment plans, and case summaries.
  • Collaborate with physicians in screening and evaluating patients for psychotropic medications and utilize resources of public and private agencies to meet member treatment needs.
  • Provide clinical supervision to psychology doctoral interns, postdoctoral residents, and other mental health trainees as necessary.

Requirements:
  • PhD/PsyD/EdD in Clinical Counseling, Health, or School Psychology from an accredited college or university.
  • Psychologist License (California) within 6 months of hire.
  • Knowledge of DSM-V, Evidence-Based Practice, and psychotherapy research methods.
  • Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
