**Job Summary:**

Under the close direction of the Support Services management team, transports patients, charts, equipment, and items safely and efficiently throughout the hospital and clinic areas.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Transport patients, medical records, and equipment to designated areas in a timely and secure manner.
  • Operate hospital transportation systems, including vehicles and equipment, in accordance with established protocols.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of patient and unit-care data, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication skills to interact with patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance knowledge and skills in patient transportation and logistics.
  • Collaborate with the Support Services team to optimize transportation processes and improve patient care.

**Requirements:**

  • High School diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Physical ability to lift and move equipment and patients as needed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
