Job Title: Medical Assistant

At Affinia Healthcare, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team in Urgent Care. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare providers in all aspects of patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform patient intake, including vital signs, weight, and measurements.
  • Accurately document patient information, including chief complaints, vital signs, and medical history.
  • Perform tests, such as blood glucose tests, urine dipsticks, and EKGs.
  • Notify providers and clinic nurses of abnormal test results.
  • Assist with tasks such as eye lavages, ear irrigations, and dressing changes.
  • Administer medications and immunizations as ordered.
  • Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked.
  • Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines, as well as patient confidentiality policies.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of a Certified Medical Assistant program.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an emergency department, urgent care, or clinical setting.
  • Strong interpersonal, time management, and organization skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing schedules.
