The Nursing Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the provision of exceptional, cost-efficient care to patients. The Supervisor is tasked with participating in the development and execution of strategic business plans for the service line, fostering an environment that promotes continuous improvement in operational, financial, and clinical aspects.
In this role, you will assume primary responsibility for the effective supervision of nursing activities within designated areas. You will assist in managing financial and human resources to ensure that services adhere to established quality and productivity standards. Providing constructive feedback and support regarding customer satisfaction, staff development, and employee performance is also essential.
The Supervisor is accountable for the daily operations of the Nursing department, ensuring effective management on a 24-hour basis. Collaboration with other clinical and ancillary departments is vital to meet organizational and department-specific Quality and Safety Measures, Community Values, Business Literacy, and Service Excellence objectives.
Qualifications:
A. Education and Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required for Magnet facilities; otherwise, it is preferred.
B. Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical patient care experience in a relevant setting.
- Preferred experience in a Lead or Supervisor role overseeing assigned units.
- Previous healthcare management experience is preferred.
C. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
- BLS certification is required.
- Active RN License in the state of employment or compact.
