Job Summary

This is a critical role within the Environmental Services team at Intermountain Healthcare, where you will play a vital part in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for our patients, families, and staff. As an Environmental Services Technician, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive housekeeping tasks, ensuring that our facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and disinfect assigned areas using established procedures and protocols.
  • Operate and maintain assigned equipment, adhering to established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Dispose of infectious waste and trash in accordance with regulatory requirements and departmental policies.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or facility issues to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Use cleaning chemicals and supplies effectively and efficiently, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, including reading color-coded labels and following written and verbal instructions.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the department.
  • Preferred qualifications include professional housekeeping experience.
Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to stand, walk, carry, lift, push, and pull for extended periods, as well as good hand dexterity and vision.
