As a Registered Nurse at Methodist Midlothian Medical Center, you will have the opportunity to provide highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients. Your role will involve using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to deliver direct and indirect patient care. You will also direct and supervise other assigned team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with unit standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide professional nursing care to patients in the Maternal Child department, including Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement patient care plans
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring that all patients receive high-quality, evidence-based care
• Supervise and direct other assigned team members, ensuring that they are providing high-quality, patient-centered care
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives, including quality metrics and patient safety
• Develop and maintain a safe and supportive work environment, promoting a culture of respect and open communication
Requirements:
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; BSN preferred
• Current Basic Life Support Certification
• Current additional certifications as required by department
• Current license to practice professional nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so
• At least 6 months of RN experience
