Job Summary

Adams Outdoor Advertising is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for performing various administrative and clerical duties in the accounts payable/receivable area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounts Reconciliation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain accounts reconciliation and reports for various A/P related general ledger accounts.
  • Accounts Receivable Management: Prepare various accounts receivable reports and analyses, providing information relating to customers' accounts to authorized personnel.
  • Accounts Payable Management: Maintain accounts payable files and assist the Regional Business Manager and General Manager in the review of expense items on the market P&L.
  • Expense Verification: Ensure that the A/P voucher and report filing system is accurate and orderly.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare weekly and monthly statistical reports as required by supervisor.
  • Collection Agency Management: Verify collection agency statements, prepare report of written-off accounts, and maintain communications with collection agencies.
  • Purchase Order Management: Maintain and process purchase order receipts/invoices.
  • Credit Management: Verify accounts are in compliance with company credit and collection policies.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain records, logs, and files according to established system.
  • Credit Application Processing: Process credit applications, including checking credit references.
  • Customer Communication: Handle routine inquiries and may make outgoing calls to delinquent customers to make payment arrangements.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or related discipline is preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: General knowledge of simple clerical routines and use of office equipment, ability to interact with the public, effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to sit in one location for extended periods of time.
