Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate LVN to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will be responsible for overseeing and providing direct nursing care to clients under the supervision of the Medical Director and in consultation with the Physician Assistant.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct admissions of clients, including orientation, intake assessment, urine screen, medication management, protocols, and recurring assessments.
- Provide direct nursing care, including administering medications and treatments, and documenting client daily progress.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, enter physician orders, and follow physician orders in overseeing client medication management.
- Proficiently document client information in KIPU Systems client management software.
- Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with members served, collect data relevant to care, and develop and implement nursing care plans.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and treatment planning meetings, and coordinate and participate in counting medications and giving report at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Active and non-restricted LVN license required.
- 1-2 years' experience in the field of recovery or equivalent human services work experience preferred.
- Prior experience in a detox environment highly desired.
- Demonstrated ability to implement physical crisis and de-escalation techniques.
- Graduation from an accredited LVN program and current licensure.
- Current CPR certificate.
- Must be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment.
The employee is occasionally required to sit, squat, kneel, twist, push, pull, and lift and carry items weighing 25 pounds or less, as well as to frequently walk, stand, bend, reach, and do simple and power grasping. The position requires manual deviation, repetition, and dexterity as well as Hazardous Exposure (Blood Borne Pathogens, Hospital Waste, and Chemical & Infectious). Must be TB cleared according to policies and procedures.
