POSITION SUMMARY

The Retail Sales Representative plays a crucial role in providing assistance to customers within the retail environment. The primary responsibility of this position is to deliver outstanding customer service. This includes welcoming customers, managing transactions, addressing inquiries about products, assisting with product assembly, maintaining store cleanliness, and performing other tasks as directed by management.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

  1. The Retail Sales Representative reports to the Store Manager.
  2. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Welcome customers as they enter the store and assist with any service-related inquiries.
  2. Label merchandise and implement pricing adjustments as instructed by management.
  3. Restock and organize merchandise on display as needed.
  4. Assist in the receipt of shipments and organize products as per management directives.
  5. Participate in inventory counts as required.
  6. Handle incoming calls and respond appropriately.
  7. Process customer transactions using the cash register system.
  8. Ensure accurate cash handling practices.
  9. Manage customer returns efficiently.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
  1. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store.
  2. Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS
  1. Strong customer service skills are essential.
  2. Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
  3. Willingness to stand for extended periods.
  4. Capability to bend and twist frequently.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  1. A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  2. Familiarity with firearm sales regulations is advantageous.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  1. Retail store setting.
  2. Exposure to varying temperatures.
  3. Flexible work schedule required.

Computer, cash register, telephone, and other office equipment.
