Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Coordinator to join our team at Highlands Health & Rehab. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for coordinating total nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching, and providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate total nursing care for patients, including assessing their condition and nursing needs, setting goals, and prescribing appropriate nursing actions.
  • Participate in patient and family teaching, providing education and support to help patients and their families understand their care and treatment plans.
  • Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing care in the clinical setting.
  • Assure resident safety by identifying and mitigating potential risks and hazards.
  • Maintain the standards of nursing care and implement the policies and procedures of the hospital and nursing departments.
Requirements
  • Current licensure with the AL State Board of Nursing as Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • 1 year of nursing experience (preferred).
  • BLS and ACLS certification (preferred).
