Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Survivability Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing new materials, technologies, and concepts to enable the most lethal, intelligent, and collaborative systems to penetrate and operate in enemy airspace with impunity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new materials and technologies to reduce the detectability of aircraft in the electromagnetic, infrared, visual, and acoustic spectrums.
  • Predict and verify the performance of designs using proprietary analysis codes and physical models.
  • Optimize designs for stealth while meeting the requirements of other engineering disciplines.
  • Take responsibility for achieving customer goals and balancing designs in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, diverse assignments, and extensive collaboration.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge in stealth design integration, product support, or antenna integration.
  • Active DoD Secret (or higher) clearance.
  • Special Access Program (SAP)/Program Access Request (PAR) clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 14 years of related professional/military engineering experience, or Master's degree and 12 years of related professional/military engineering experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience using the latest classified cutting-edge technology to reduce the detectability of aircraft.
  • Experience with Northrop Grumman proprietary computational electromagnetic analysis codes or similar codes used by competitors or customers.
  • Complete understanding and capability to plan and implement Radio Frequency (RF) modeling and testing of complex classified targets.
  • Working knowledge of the requirements of other supporting engineering disciplines to achieve optimization of stealth goals and a balanced design.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and technical writing skills to enable effective personal interaction and collaboration with a multi-disciplined team and customers.
What We Offer

Northrop Grumman offers a competitive salary range of $142,500 - $213,700, as well as a discretionary bonus and a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
