Job Summary:

As a seasoned SCADA Engineer II, you will serve as a subject matter expert with proficiency in at least three SCADA packages and supporting software/hardware. You will function as the technical lead on projects of any scale, providing mentoring and training to junior staff. Key Responsibilities:
  • Setup and Configure SCADA Hardware and Software: Ensure seamless integration of SCADA systems, including hardware and software components.
  • Perform Factory Functional Testing: Conduct thorough testing of programmed control systems, HMI, and SCADA to ensure optimal performance.
  • Modify PLC and HMI Applications: Effectively modify and troubleshoot control system applications in the field.
  • Troubleshoot Control System Issues: Identify and resolve control system problems through software and hardware solutions.
  • Interface with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with other staff members on multi-disciplinary projects to achieve project goals.
  • Execute Project Startups: Successfully execute startups of large and complex projects, ensuring timely completion and quality results.
  • Act as Technical Lead: Provide technical guidance and leadership on projects, ensuring adherence to company standards and best practices.
  • Generate RFIs: Develop and submit RFIs with minimal review necessary, ensuring timely and accurate communication with stakeholders.
  • Develop Error-Free SCADA Tag Databases: Create and maintain accurate and error-free SCADA tag databases, screens, scripting, and customer reports.
  • Mentor and Train Junior Staff: Provide guidance and training to junior employees on related tasks, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill development.
Requirements:
  • Education/Training: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, plus 5 years of experience in SCADA programming and development.
  • Experience: Experience with Visual Basic and Microsoft SQL Server, as well as control systems networking and communications.
Skills/Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of Current Computer Technology: Thorough understanding of current computer technology and TCP/IP configurations.
  • SCADA Software Packages: Working knowledge of SCADA software packages such as Wonderware, Wonderware System Platform, Ignition, Clear SCADA, VTSCADA, WinCC, etc.
  • Visio and Object Library Organization: Proficient in Visio and object library organization and development.
  • TCP/IP-Based Protocols: Thorough understanding of TCP/IP-based protocols such as Modbus TCP, Ethernet IP.
  • Industrial Control Systems Cybersecurity: Understanding of industrial control systems cybersecurity.
