About Us:

At Himalayan Dog Chew, we have redefined the traditional 'churpi' cheese, ensuring it is lactose-free and safe for dogs. Our mission is to provide high-quality products for your pets and establish ourselves as a leading, trusted brand in the pet industry.

Work Schedule:

This position operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with opportunities for additional hours and overtime.

Compensation:

Starting wage ranges from $25 to $29 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly report to the Production General Manager and oversee the packaging department's performance.
  • Manage resources effectively while adhering to safety protocols, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and regulatory standards.
  • Organize, prioritize, and assign tasks to ensure production meets customer specifications and quality benchmarks.
  • Propose and implement strategies to enhance production processes, equipment efficiency, safety measures, and product quality.
  • Evaluate team performance, address concerns, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Coordinate with other departments to manage production planning and maintenance schedules.
  • Continuously assess and recommend programs to comply with safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Ensure equipment is well-maintained and uphold quality initiatives within the facility.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of leadership experience, preferably in the food manufacturing sector.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team of 20-30 associates.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement methodologies to enhance packaging and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ADP and ERP systems is advantageous.

Supervisory Role:

This position involves direct supervision of a team of 20 hourly associates.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general PC skills.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Strong aptitude for team building and employee engagement.
  • Results-driven with a focus on process improvement.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, capable of working independently.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a must.
