Job Summary

R.D. Offutt Farms is seeking a skilled Seasonal Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for hauling agricultural products from designated farm bins to customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order, and report any defects or issues to management.
  • Delivery Instructions: Collect and verify delivery instructions from the trucking office and field supervisors, and ensure that routes are accurate.
  • Truck Operations: Drive trucks with capacities greater than 3 tons to transport and deliver agricultural products, and maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
  • Load Management: Check conditions of truck boxes after contents have been unloaded to ensure that there has been no damage, and secure cargo for transport using tarps.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with management and other team members, and follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments.
  • Teamwork: Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
Requirements
  • Reliable Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to meet physical requirements of the position with or without accommodation, including climbing in and out of trucks, climbing stairs, and walking on uneven ground.
  • Availability: Must be able to work overtime during harvest season or as the need arises.
  • Experience: Previous truck driving experience preferred, and experience with farm or heavy equipment operation is a plus.
  • Qualifications: Valid driver's license required, and candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
