Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Specialist to join our team at MTS Systems Corporation. As a Mechanical Assembly Specialist, you will be responsible for assembling and testing hydro-mechanical subsystems according to engineering specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble hydro-mechanical subsystems according to engineering blueprints and specifications, bills of materials, and manufacturing process standards for quality, efficiency, and schedule.
  • Troubleshoot and repair new and customer hydro-mechanical subsystems, disassembling and diagnosing problems, developing solutions, and resolving performance issues.
  • Collaborate to maintain accuracy of documents and records per MTS policies, initiating modifications and/or improvements to engineering and manufacturing documentation, and actively and accurately executing non-conforming materials process.
  • Participate in process and quality improvement activities.
  • Exhibit professionalism on the job at MTS, behaving in a respectful manner toward coworkers, engineers, supervisors, and customers, communicating effectively with coworkers, engineers, supervisors, and customers.
  • Maintain and actively develop skills assembling and testing MTS products and industry technology, participating in required training, and providing training (as appropriate for salary grade).

Requirements

  • Two-year certification from college or trade school or military training in an applicable discipline (mechanics, hydraulics, electronics) or four years of applicable experience in an applicable environment.
