Job ResponsibilitiesProgram Description
The Residential Treatment programs at Youth Villages cater to children experiencing emotional and behavioral difficulties. Our residential facilities provide an intensive treatment environment that strikes a unique balance between structure and freedom. This approach allows children and their families to recognize, comprehend, and address their specific needs while developing essential skills for success in less restrictive environments. We operate three distinct types of facilities—Intensive Residential Centers, Open Campuses, and Group Homes—all of which implement the Re-Education of Emotionally Disturbed Children therapy model (Re-Ed).
Role Responsibilities
- Administering first aid to residents in cases of illness or injury
- Maintaining accurate medical records for assigned residents
- Collaborating with consulting medical professionals to address medical needs
- Creating and leading educational programs for staff and residents on topics such as personal hygiene and infection control
Available Shifts
Shifts include: Tues, Wed, & Thur 6pm-6am; Sun 6am-6pm, Mon and Wed 6pm-6am; Sun 6am-6pm, Tue and Thu 6pm-6am; Sun-Tues/Mon-Wed 6pm-6am; Wed-Fri/Thurs-Sat 6pm-6am.
Compensation
Compensation is set at $25 per night, with additional differentials for weekend shifts.
QualificationsEssential Requirements
A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required, along with a Diploma from an accredited nursing program or equivalent. A valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Tennessee is mandatory.
Preferred qualifications include at least six months of experience in pediatric or medical-surgical settings, as well as the ability to maintain a flexible work schedule.
