Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Bagging Team Member to join our team at Southeastern Grocers. As a key member of our checkout team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring accurate and efficient checkout processes, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide continuous attention to customer needs, greet, assist, and thank customers in a prompt, courteous, and friendly manner.
  • Checkout Operations: Assist customers in unloading purchases onto the conveyor belt, pack customer purchases in a manner to prevent damages, and expedites the flow of groceries from checkout lane to customer's vehicle.
  • Inventory Management: Restock and use supply items efficiently to eliminate waste and maintain the lowest supply cost.
  • Store Maintenance: Keep work area clean, orderly, and free from safety hazards, report faulty equipment and hazards to management.
  • Security: Notify management of associate theft, customer shoplifting, unauthorized mark-downs, property defacement, or any action that is illegal and/or against company policy.
Requirements
  • Meet Legal and Company Policy Age Requirements: Meet the minimum age requirements to perform job functions.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently, understand and follow English instructions.
  • Authorization: Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.
  • Background Check: Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
