Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will provide critical care to patients with respiratory problems, working closely with physicians and nurses to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide respiratory care to patients with a range of conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and pneumonia.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of oxygen and therapeutic gas equipment, ensuring safe and effective administration of medical gases and aerosolized drugs.
  • Conduct diagnostic testing, including arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis, and report results to physicians and nurses.
  • Participate in adult ventilator weaning protocol and MDI protocol, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff, providing education and support to promote patient understanding and engagement.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved American Medical Association (AMA) school for Respiratory Therapy.
  • Current National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credential (Certified or Registered) and New Jersey State Board of Respiratory Care license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with ACLS and PALS certifications required within one year of hire.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
