Since its inception in 1994, SPORTIME has been dedicated to providing premier tennis and sports facilities throughout New York State. With 15 locations, including the renowned Port Washington Tennis Academy, SPORTIME Port Washington stands as the largest indoor racket sports venue on Long Island. Our facilities encompass 194 indoor and outdoor tennis courts, 70 pickleball courts, and various sports amenities, including rinks, turf, camps, and gyms, catering to individuals of all ages and skill levels, year-round.
ROLE SUMMARY:
The Front Desk Attendant is responsible for managing the front desk operations, assisting members and potential clients both in person and over the phone, and ensuring a five-star experience for all visitors at the facility.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Foster and maintain exceptional relationships with all members and guests during their visits and through various communication channels.
- Demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of APTUS, including scheduling, point of sale transactions, shift reconciliations, and member account management.
- Handle telephone communications effectively, ensuring accurate message recording and prioritization of calls.
- Ensure adherence to closing procedures each evening.
- Manage towel supplies, ensuring they are laundered, replenished, and monitored.
- Maintain a tidy and well-stocked workspace to facilitate efficient operations and customer service.
- Assist with follow-up calls and account balances.
- Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel.
- Coordinate court bookings and private lesson schedules.
- Build and sustain collaborative working relationships with colleagues.
- Complete daily reports and undertake special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of SPORTIME's programs, services, policies, and procedures is preferred.
- Ability to articulate information regarding lessons, programs, memberships, and promotions to both prospective and current members.
- Exceptional customer service skills are essential.
- Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft applications, are mandatory.
- Strong listening and comprehension abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Capability to perform under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Commitment to confidentiality.
- Ability to cultivate and maintain constructive working relationships over time.
WORK SCHEDULE: Part-time, with shifts typically from 4 PM to 10 PM and 5:30 AM to 10 AM on designated days.
COMPENSATION: $17 - $18 per hour.
