Cattle Embryologist

As a Cattle Embryologist / OPU Technician, you will work directly with cattle on-site on the farm, supporting bovine embryo production.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Performing non-surgical embryo transfers of bovine embryos for the purpose of inducing pregnancy
• Performing non-surgical embryo insertions in cattle
• Harvesting oocytes from cattle (OPU)
• Assembling and maintaining embryo manipulation equipment and tools
• Scheduling synchronization with customers and implementing synchronization protocols for recipients
• Communicating transfer data and outcomes with our lab and the client farm

You will work both on the farm outdoors and in a mobile lab on site.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in ovum pickup / embryo or oocyte harvest (OPU) in animals (cow, sheep, horse)
• Prior experience working as a veterinary technician or veterinary lab technician
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, work outdoors, and work directly with cattle
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience working with bovine / cows
• Education in embryology research, andrology, and embryology techniques
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members

Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 base salary depending on years of experience.
