This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled civil engineering design specialist to join our team at Pape-Dawson Engineers, Inc. in Austin, Texas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineers to provide design support for commercial and residential land development projects.
  • Prepare detailed plans, profiles, and drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Develop construction documents, including topographical contours, elevations, profiles, and cross-sections.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards for drafting and file management.
  • Analyze sketches and notes to determine the best approach for developing and completing drawings.
  • Maintain open communication with project managers regarding progress and request work assignments as needed.
  • Organize work area to facilitate access to project information by team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in civil design, particularly in the Central Texas region.
  • Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and ability to adapt to new software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, clients, and public officials.
  • Self-motivated individual who can work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing work assignments and project needs.
  • Ability to work standard business hours with occasional overtime.

Compensation Package:

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and opportunities for growth and professional development within our organization.
