About the RoleThe Special Education Teacher is a critical member of our team, responsible for providing high-quality education and support services to our students. As a Special Education Teacher, you will work closely with our students, their families, and our team of educators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement IEPs for students with disabilities
- Provide instruction and support to students in a variety of settings
- Collaborate with other educators and professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
- Bachelor's degree in special education or a related field
- LBSI K-12 endorsement through ISBE
- Experience working with students with disabilities (preferred)
- Knowledge of ISBE regulations and special education laws
- A supportive and collaborative work environment
