Job Summary

We are seeking a Patient Access Associate to join our team at Care New England Health System. This is a part-time, night shift position that requires strong communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain demographic information from patients and verify insurance eligibility
  • Update Teletracking with anticipated insurance impact and possible admissions
  • Complete MSPQ with patients and family members for Medicare patients
  • Scan patient insurance cards and identification, and file in appropriate form
  • Verify information is scanned under correct episode and benefits
  • Photograph patients, create labels for paperwork, and print patient bracelets when applicable
  • Have patients sign financial forms allowing the hospital to bill appropriately
  • Advise Financial Counselor of patients with financial responsibilities
  • Refer patients to Financial Counselor for guidance on co-pays, payment plans, and Applications for Financial Assistance
Requirements
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in desktop computer programs, including AVATAR, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to work with phone system and digital camera
  • Knowledge of office equipment, including PC, copier, fax, and cordless headset
