Role Responsibilities

The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-focused therapy by designing and implementing tailored treatment plans for individuals with communication, cognitive, and swallowing challenges. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments to evaluate patients' speech and language capabilities.
  • Creating, executing, and adjusting treatment strategies in line with hospital protocols and professional standards.
  • Monitoring patient progress and determining when goals have been achieved or when further intervention is necessary.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • A valid Speech Language Pathologist license in the State of Florida.
  • Experience in an acute clinical setting is preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Certification of Clinical Competency (CCC) from the Speech Language Hearing Association.
  • Strong analytical skills, commitment to service excellence, and effective communication abilities.
What to Expect

In this role, you will:

  • Perform detailed assessments of patients' speech and language abilities.
  • Develop individualized therapy programs aimed at enhancing communication skills.
  • Regularly evaluate and modify treatment plans to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Engage with the Program Director and medical staff regarding patient evaluations and treatment placements.
