Role ResponsibilitiesThe Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-focused therapy by designing and implementing tailored treatment plans for individuals with communication, cognitive, and swallowing challenges. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough assessments to evaluate patients' speech and language capabilities.
- Creating, executing, and adjusting treatment strategies in line with hospital protocols and professional standards.
- Monitoring patient progress and determining when goals have been achieved or when further intervention is necessary.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
- A valid Speech Language Pathologist license in the State of Florida.
- Experience in an acute clinical setting is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Certification of Clinical Competency (CCC) from the Speech Language Hearing Association.
- Strong analytical skills, commitment to service excellence, and effective communication abilities.
In this role, you will:
- Perform detailed assessments of patients' speech and language abilities.
- Develop individualized therapy programs aimed at enhancing communication skills.
- Regularly evaluate and modify treatment plans to optimize patient outcomes.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
- Engage with the Program Director and medical staff regarding patient evaluations and treatment placements.
